Our entry rules are here to ensure the highest standard of health and safety of your little ones so you can sit back and relax with a peace of mind.

Please make sure that you and your children follow the rules below. By doing so, you help us to provide a clean and safe environment for children, parents, and members of staff.
- All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Please encourage gentle play to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all children.
- You accept all such risks relating to any personal injury and waive the right to sue HopscotchGosforth Limited or HopscotchNewcastle Limited for any personal injury in any way whatsoever caused by or arising from participation in the activities provided at each site.
- All play area equipment is maintained, checked, and cleaned by our team on a daily basis, so please use them gently to prevent them from any damages or unremovable stains.
- We will try to ensure that as many play zones/activities as possible are available for use by customers. However, we reserve the right, without prior notice, to close and change the availability of zones/activities and or operating hours. Hopscotch reserves the right to close the whole or any part of any activity at any time or to restrict the number of individuals having access to the zone/activity
- Any persons showing violent, aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, insulting behaviour or foul language will be refused entry or even banned from the premises. Hopscotch reserves the right to do this without refunding admission and all abusive behaviour towards other customers or our staff will be reported to the police.
- Please report any accidents, concerns, or issues to the cafe staff immediately.
- Please follow any additional instructions or guidelines provided by cafe notices and the cafe staff.
- The cafe reserves the right to refuse entry or remove individuals who do not comply with the play area rules or pose a risk to themselves or others.
- Hopscotch operates a ‘No Picnic Policy’. This means food and drink purchased elsewhere may not be consumed on the premises. The only exception to this is baby food. This policy is necessary for us to comply with our liability insurance and to ensure we adhere to local health and safety regulations.
- Our play structure is designed for kids under 6 years old
We welcome older children under 12 yrs to explore our reading area (at Gosforth & Fenwick), retro arcade (at Gosforth & Fenwick) and the outdoor space (Gosforth Only).
- Socks must be worn by children and adults in the play areas.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the play areas.
- Please refrain from bringing any sharp objects, toys with small parts, or hazardous materials into the play areas.
- Our café is covered by 24 hours surveillance cameras, but you are still required to take care of your own belongings. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged personal properties.
- Any lost property found at any of our sites will be kept and stored for 3 weeks (21 days). After this period any unclaimed lost property will either be given to charity or disposed of. If you have lost any items and wish to check if we have them, please email or call the specific site. For certain items we will require proof of ownership.
